The TRG WebDC data collection interface delivers a simple, flexible, thin-client
interface for collecting labor transactions from the shop floor. It
is an excellent option to replace your existing Intermec or Epic units or as a
complement to your WorkWise eProduction system for areas of the shop where you
just want traditional labor collection. As a web application, there is no
installation required on any of the PC's on your shop floor - all interaction
is done through the Internet Explorer browser.
The TRG WebDC application is developed using the latest technology - Microsoft
ASP.NET V2.0 utilizing a Microsoft SQL database.
TRG WebDC supports the
following standard TCM data
collection transactions:
WebDC Main Menu (Click to Enlarge)
- Attend In
- Attend Out
- Shop Order Start
- Shop Order End
- On Team
- Off Team
- On Premise
- Off Premise
TRG's WebDC has numerous powerful built-in data validations that minimize the
effort required for transaction time approval. Validations for each
transaction include:
Attend In
- Verifies that it is a valid employee badge.
- Checks to see if the employee is already attended in - won't allow
them to attend in twice.
Attend Out
- Verifies that it is a valid employee badge.
- Checks to see if the employee is already attended out - won't allow
them to attend out twice.
Shop Order Start
- Verifies that it is a valid employee or team badge.
- If an employee badge, verify that they are attended in before starting
a shop order.
- Validates the location/shop order/suffix and operation being started to
ensure it exists in TCM.
Shop Order End
- Verifies that it is a valid employee or team badge.
Shop Order End (continued)
- If an employee badge, verify that they are attended in before ending a
shop order.
- Verifies that the employee (or team) is ending a shop order they
previously started.
On Team
- Verifies that it is a valid employee badge and is attended in.
- If the employee is already on a team, doesn't allow them to add themselves
to another team.
Off Team
- Verifies that it is a valid employee badge and is attended in.
- Verifies that the employee is on the team before generating the transaction.
On Premise/Off Premise
- Verifies that it is a valid employee badge and is attended in.
Additional capabilities of TRG WebDC:
Team Inquiry - allows shop floor personnel to view current members of a team.
Configurable Menus - you can easily create and customize labor menus using the Menu
Configuration option. Referencing a menu is as simple as including it in the URL
string used to connect to the Webserver.
Visible Audit Trail - the left side of the screen has a scrolling display of all
transactions done from that station since the session was initiated. Makes it easy
for employees to see recent activity.
Continues to work even when the connection to the TCM server is unavailable.
WebDC will continue to operate and store transactions even if it can no longer communicate
with the TCM server - all validation is automatically turned off and transactions
continue to be accepted. When the connection is restored, the data collection
transactions are automatically flushed through to TCM.
